This man was a genius of the Georgian period in the mid-18th century, designing and building both cathedrals, the city hall as well as several other buildings in Waterford. Lafacadio Hearn was an incredible institution in Japan during the turn of the last century. During his time there he became a gateway between the Japan he had adopted as his home and the west from whence he came.
